Primary Responsibilities:
The Inspector of Buildings, licensed by The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, is responsible to receive applications and issue building permits, required by law, on all construction for residential, commercial or existing buildings. He is called upon to inspect the premises for which such permits have been issued. Every phase of construction must be reviewed and approved by the Inspector of Buildings. As Zoning Enforcement Officer the Inspector of Buildings works closely with architects, contractors and other construction development companies to ensure a project will be accomplished within the building code requirements.
