Some Functions of the Secretaries Office

  • Sale of Transfer Station decals and bag stickers
  • Route and distribute U.S Mail to town hall departments
  • Prepare the Annual Town Report
  • Issue Tag Sale permits
  • Keep official meeting minutes for the Select Board, Planning Board, Board of Health, Conservation Commission, and ZBA  
  • Set up agenda for Planning Board, Conservation Commission, and ZBA
  • Prepare decision paperwork for Planning Board, Conservation Commission, and ZBA
  • Post data and maintain the town website
  • Maintain town hall copier, fax and other equipment
  • Intake processing and file keeping of town employee accident and workers compensation insurance forms
  • Process licenses for alcoholic beverages, food establishments, electric, gas and plumbing permits, septage hauling and auctioneer permits
  • Direct main telephone number inquiries appropriately
  • Schedule meeting space in town hall
  • Submit CORI checks for new employees
  • Work with Building Commissioner, Electrical, Plumbing and Gas Inspectors
  • Keep records of all inspections
  • Handle administrative work for Cemetery Commissioner
  • Prepare cash turnover to Treasurer's Office for Transfer Station, Conservation Commission, & Inspection Services.
  • Handle weekly Accounts Payable entries for Town Accountant
