Mission

Determine valuation of all real estate and personal property in the town. The total valuation, plus other factors such as excise, licenses. permits, etc. is used to meet the yearly town budget, as voted by Town Meeting, which determines a fiscal year tax rate per $1000 of value. FY2023 rate is $13.48.
