Dog Licenses
All dogs are required to be licensed annually, by March 31st.
- New licenses are issued beginning January 1st. Verification of expiration date of the current rabies vaccination is required. If registering a new dog, proof of spay/neuter is required.
- Licenses are $10.00 for each spayed/neutered dog and $15.00 for all others, payable to Town of Hatfield.
- A late fine of $2.00 per month is assessed beginning May 1st.
- Fees are waived for Residents 70 years of age and older with proof of age if Registered by March 31st. Normal fees are assessed after April 1st.
To renew in person, stop by the Town Clerks Office during regular business hours with a copy of your dogs current rabies certificate, along with applicable fee (we accept cash or check)
To renew online, click here. There is a $1.25 Shipping and Handling Fee attached to online payments. Please email rabies certificate to townclerk@townofhatfield.org
To renew by mail, include the following: Dog License Application, the current rabies certificate, which will be returned with the license and tag. You will also need an envelope and postage of $1.06 on the envelope for “non-machinable letter” postage required by the USPS. Licenses cannot be returned by mail without sufficient postage.
